Papers of William Saroyan [manuscript], 1938, n.d.

This collection consists of two letters from Saroyan to George E. Dane and a printed advertisement for "A native American." In the first letter Saroyan lists his published books, reports on forthcoming editions of his stories in France, Germany, and Italy, and mentions the various languages into which his stories have been translated. He also suggests that the announcement for "A native American" mention his next book, "The trouble with tigers," and offers other suggestions. The second letter thanks Dane for writing the announcement, and asks him to return British reviews.
